Geraldine's Journey
One of the young ladies that your generous donations have helped support is Geraldine. She tells us in her words how she is doing now-
I am a final year student at the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) studying Banking and Finance. In June 2021, I wrote my final exams in college. I will be graduating in October 2021. I have learned many things about academics and social life and experienced some of the challenges of adulthood. I am prepared and eager to explore the opportunities that the universe presents.
In my early teenage stage, I figured out who I wanted to become, I outlined my priorities and means of accomplishing them. Today, I am almost reaching the first summit of these priorities or goals.
For the past three months, I have been doing an internship program at the Emergency Operation and Control center (EOC) as a data officer. My duties are to input all data into the system. I have enjoyed working there and most importantly, I like the fact that I am now earning some money on my own.
I am grateful to Develop Africa for its support towards my academics and monthly upkeep.
We are excited for Geraldine and what her future holds! Special thanks to YOU for being part of "The Village" that helped support Geraldine over the years.
We invite you to help change more girls' lives. Making a monthly donation is the most effective way to help girls get their education, but every dollar donated makes a difference!
If you are not yet a recurring donor and would like to sign up for a recurring donation go here.
