Working Together to Build Stronger Communities
Recently, DASL participated in the Health Walk during National NGO Week, organized by the Sierra Leone Association of NGOs (SLANGO) in partnership with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MOPED). This event brought together representatives from local and international NGOs, creating a strong sense of unity and shared commitment to improving lives across Sierra Leone.
Develop Africa was proudly represented by three dedicated team members—Joseph, Aminata, and Mariama—who joined fellow NGO staff and volunteers in the walk from the SOS School compound to Family Kingdom Resort at Aberdeen Beach. Completing the full distance symbolized not only wellness and teamwork but also the shared dedication of organizations working to support vulnerable communities.
Events like this are important because they allow organizations to strengthen partnerships, share knowledge, and collaborate on solutions that benefit the communities we serve. These collaborations ultimately help us better support students and families through education, skills training, and health initiatives.
Because of donors like you, Develop Africa can continue working alongside other organizations while remaining focused on our core mission—educating and empowering the next generation of leaders in Sierra Leone.
Thank you for standing with us and for believing in the power of education to transform lives.
